Meet the Sales Team Driekie

How long have you been a real estate agent?

I have been in this field for just over eight months.

Why did you become a real estate agent?

I was looking for a new challenge.

What motives you?

I place a lot of value on my independence.

What challenges have you faced and how did you overcome them?

Making sure that I match a property to what my client is looking for. You sometimes have to read between the lines because not everyone is completely clear on what they are looking for.

What is the best part of being a real estate agent?

The best part of being a real estate agent is the flexible working hours and meeting interesting people.

What skills or personality traits should you have to make you successful?

It’s really important that you’re reliable, punctual, and have a natural love for working with people.

What does your typical day look like?

No two days are the same! My days are filled with paperwork, meeting clients, showing properties, marketing my listings and anything else that comes up in the office where I can be of assistance.

What advice can you give aspiring real estate agents?

Make sure the company you affiliate with has a good reputation in the market and promotes training and education. Visibility (marketing) is also important.
